A Wedding Dessert That Isn't Another Cake Table
Dessert tables blur together — the same cookies, macarons, and mini cakes at every reception. Tanghulu is the opposite of expected: whole fresh fruit finished in a thin crystal shell with a signature snap. It's light after a full dinner, beautiful on a dessert display, and it photographs like nothing else on the table.
Because our everyday skewers are naturally vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free, one dessert works for a guest list with every kind of dietary need — a rare thing at a wedding. (Seasonal specials like milk skin tanghulu may contain dairy, and we'll flag those clearly.)
Three Ways to Bring Tanghulu to Your Wedding
Delivery Catering
Fresh skewers delivered to your venue, ready for the dessert display — simple, elegant, no staffing needed. An order minimum applies.
Staffed Service
Our team sets up a polished, branded display and serves your guests through the reception. A refined addition to your dessert moment, handled start to finish.
Live Tanghulu Experience
The showpiece. Our artisan glazes fresh fruit on-site in real time — guests watch, photograph, and receive a skewer made just for them. The interactive moment couples book when they want a dessert guests talk about long after the last dance.

Wedding Dessert Catering FAQ
What makes tanghulu a good wedding dessert?
It's fresh, light after a full dinner, and unlike anything else on the dessert table — and because our everyday skewers are naturally vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free, one dessert works for almost every guest. It's also genuinely photogenic, which is why couples and planners so often call it the most photographed dessert of the night.
How far in advance should we book?
The earlier the better — wedding dates fill months ahead, especially around Lunar New Year in February, May through September, and the November–December holiday window. As a minimum, delivery and staffed service book about one to two weeks out and the Live Tanghulu Experience at least two weeks (three or more for over 500 guests), but for a wedding we recommend reaching out as soon as you have a date.
Can you handle a large guest list?
Yes — from intimate ceremonies to celebrations of 1,000 guests and beyond. We scale the program to your guest count while keeping the presentation fresh and the service seamless.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions across our guest list?
Our core tanghulu is naturally vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free — one of the most inclusive dessert options for a mixed guest list. For specific allergen requirements beyond our standard lineup, email hello@oliviastanghulu.com and we'll guide you through the options.
Can we customize the colors or flavors for our theme?
Absolutely. We build custom bridal menus around your palette and season — from seasonal fruit selections to rose and blossom tanghulu and colorful mixed skewers. Tell us your vision and we'll design around it.
Which Bay Area areas do you serve for weddings?
San Francisco, the Peninsula, South Bay, and East Bay. For venues just outside our standard range, reach out and we'll confirm availability (travel fees may apply).
Ready to give your guests a dessert they'll photograph?
Wedding dates fill fast. Tell us about your celebration and we'll design a custom program within 24 hours — no commitment, just a conversation.
