A Taste of Home Wherever You Are

The Sweet Beginning

Olivia’s Tanghulu didn’t start as a business, it started with homesickness. Far from the night markets of my childhood, I found myself missing home in ways I couldn’t quite put into words. One day, on a whim, I bought some strawberries, boiled sugar, and made tanghulu, the traditional Chinese candied fruit I used to crave as a kid.

The first crack of that sugar shell transported me. In that moment, I felt comfort. I felt connection. I felt home.

More Than Just a Treat

That memory turned into a mission: to share that feeling with others. For anyone in the Bay Area chasing big dreams, far from family dinners, cultural traditions, or simple childhood joys: this dessert is for you. Each batch is handmade with care, using fresh, high-quality fruit wrapped in a crisp, nostalgic sugar glaze — a crunchy, juicy, homesick hug on a stick.

Bringing Home to the Bay

Today, Olivia’s Tanghulu has become part of other people’s stories — from casual weekends to corporate events, school celebrations, and cozy nights in.

Whether you’re tasting tanghulu for the first time or rediscovering a childhood favorite, we hope this little dessert brings you one step closer to home.

Thanks for letting us be part of your journey.
